Use of the Site

You may use ReadLoudly for your personal, non-commercial use. You may not use our website for any illegal or unauthorized purpose. You must not modify, adapt, hack, or reverse-engineer our website, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the platform. You may not use our website to transmit any viruses, malware, or other harmful code.

Community Participation

The ReadLoudly Community is a feature that allows users to join or create book discussion groups and engage with other readers. By participating, you agree to the following:

• Respect others: Be kind, inclusive, and thoughtful in all group discussions.
• Stay on topic: Groups should focus on books, reading, or related topics. No spam or self-promotion.
• No hate speech: Harassment, bullying, or discriminatory content is strictly prohibited.
• Moderator rights: Group creators and site moderators may remove posts or users that violate guidelines.
• Report abuse: If you encounter inappropriate content, use the "Report" feature or contact support.

Violations of these rules may result in the removal of content or suspension of your account.

Affiliate Program

Every ReadLoudly account can share a personal referral link and code. By sharing them you take part in the ReadLoudly Affiliate Program and agree to the rules below.

• Tracking: A visitor who arrives through your link is attributed to you for 30 days on that browser. If they used more than one affiliate link, the first one counts. A code entered on the sign-up form also attributes the new account to you. Attribution is set when the account is created and cannot be moved to another affiliate later.
• Commission: You earn 10% of every subscription payment made by accounts attributed to you, for as long as they stay subscribed, including renewals and plan changes. If an account you referred shares its own link, you also earn 5% of the subscription payments made by the accounts it refers. Commission is paid on these two levels only, is calculated on the amount charged for the subscription invoice, and is paid in US dollars. One-time purchases do not earn commission.
• Holding period: Commission stays pending for 15 days after a monthly payment and 30 days after a yearly payment, then becomes withdrawable.
• Refunds and disputes: If a payment is refunded or disputed, the commission on it is reversed, including commission that has already become withdrawable. If a reversal takes your balance below zero, future commission covers the difference before anything becomes withdrawable. If the dispute is decided in ReadLoudly's favour, the commission is restored.
• Payouts: You can request a payout by bank transfer once your withdrawable balance is at least $50. Payouts are processed manually and usually arrive within 3–5 business days. You are responsible for giving correct bank details and for any taxes due on what you earn.
• Not allowed: bidding on "ReadLoudly" or misspellings of it in search ads; spam or unsolicited messages; referring yourself, accounts you control, or fake accounts; promoting ReadLoudly without saying that you earn a commission; and making false or misleading claims about ReadLoudly.
• Enforcement: We may reverse commission earned in breach of these rules, hold payouts while we look into a concern, and end your participation in the program.
• Changes: We may change commission rates or end the program. We will email you at least 30 days before a change takes effect. Commission you have already earned is not affected.

Intellectual Property

All content on ReadLoudly—including text, graphics, logos, icons, images, audio, and software—is the property of ReadLoudly or its licensors, and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, reproduce, or distribute any content without our prior written permission.

Disclaimer of Warranties

ReadLoudly provides its website and services "as is" and "as available." We make no warranties—express or implied—that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any content or user-generated information.

Limitation of Liability

ReadLoudly is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use—or inability to use—our website or community features, even if we were advised of the possibility of such damages.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ReadLoudly, its affiliates, directors, officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising out of your use of the website or your violation of these Terms of Use.

Modification of Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms of Use at any time without prior notice. Continued use of the website after changes are made implies acceptance of the revised terms.

Governing Law

These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
