How Credits Turn Into Listening Hours

Core gives you 100K voice credits a month, and credits are spent per character of text you listen to. One credit buys 4 characters on a Standard voice or 1 character on a Natural voice. That is why every plan shows two different hour figures.

The hours are rough display estimates, not a timer. ReadLoudly counts characters, so a faster reading speed, a text full of long words or a different voice moves the real figure up or down.
